| This Drawing is a contest entry for Aryenne. It is Mainly Colored Pencil, Micron Pens, and a little bit of Acrylic Paint. There is a whole lot of shimmer in places, but the scanner just didn't pick it up. I am not used to drawing in such a small scale as I did in this piece. It is only approximately, 9" by 12" in size. I love details, and this much going on, in such a small space was a real challenge! |
| In this close up of the Dragon, you can see the detail I added with the micron pen as well as the white acrylic paint. It is very difficult to highlight a darker shade with the pencils alone, so that is why I opted to use a little acrylic paint. |
| Again, using the acrylic paint, made it possible to add the horses mane and tail after I did the background. I used the paint again to add the bits of grass for depth. |
| For the beast, I just used the micron pen to define some areas in the claws, and eyes. |
